Summer Harvests - Part One

I have not done a whole lot in the vegetable garden this summer, especially over the last several weeks. However, I have been able to collect several little harvests over the past couple of months that resulted from Spring plants still surviving the summer heat. Follow is a listing of all the harvests I collected during June 2012.

Carnival peppers, banana peppers, Roma Tomatoes, Celebrity Tomatoes, and one lonely Gold Rush Squash harvested June 1st
Some bolting lemon basil, and some rough red leaf romaine lettuce harvested June 2nd
Carrots, Georgia Collards, and Lemon Viburnum also harvest on June 2nd
Several nice tomatoes, which survived the rats, harvested on June 4th

Several nice bell and banana peppers also harvested on June 4th
Large harvest of peppers and some tomatoes from June 6th
Tomatoes and Georgia Collards harvested June 9th
More tomatoes harvested June 11th
Sweet Basil, carrots, tomatoes, and Georgia Collards harvested June 16th
A few more tomatoes harvested June 17th
Several tomatoes harvested June 19th - due to the summer heat some of the shoulders are cracked on the celebrity tomatoes but they were still very good
More tomatoes harvested June 21st - During this time we had way more tomatoes coming in every few days than we could eat so we were able to give away quite a few.
Celebrity tomatoes harvested June 22nd
These tomatoes from June 25th were splitting because we had several days in a row of heavy tropical rain

nice harvest of Georgia Collards from June 25th
Some tomatoes harvested June 27
A few Roma tomatoes and crisp peppers harvested June 29th
